The “W. F. H” trend has made the days monotonous and mundane. “Every day of the week has started feeling like a Monday,” says a student. Following the same work over and over again may make you feel less excited about life. Then how not to be boring at home and in life?
The answer is giving some time of the day for yourself. Most of the life we live is for the sake of others, like working over-time to impress your boss hoping for appraisal or promotion so that your significant other is happy. This may be good but to a certain extent. However, productivity does not mean success that we are reaching for, instead, we are damaging yourself mentally, physically, and emotionally. Here are a few points that you can do to build yourself in a healthy way and getting rid of a boring life.
1. Having a goal and passion to achieve.
2. have a hobby, do something different than you normally do
3. Fitness: go for a run, walk, exercise, yoga, or dance on your tunes with your favorite music!
4. Read a book
5. Write a book, if not: write a story of your own, write a journal: as writing is the best way to express your thought and feelings
6. Adventure: take a new route for college/work, explore new places, parks, and museums
7. learn something new, you are never late to be a student for something new!
8. Help others: volunteer, you can always find a way to help yourself by helping others.
9. Be yourself, that’s the best version of you!
10. Self-care: pamper yourself as you are the main character of your life, make the best you mentally, physically, and socially.
Here are some self-care tips that you can work on yourself!
1. Breathe- Yoga and meditation are the best ways to take time off and be at peace with yourself. Practicing yoga and meditation helps to relieve stress and anxiety, making you cheered up for the rest of day. If you can’t meditate, just sit up-straight switch off your phones and laptops. Listen to a soothing song (instrumental), close your eyes, and breathe. Have this routine for at least 10-15 minutes a day.
2. Healthy diet- Heavy fired foods, with too much sugar and carbonates like soda and even junk foods, high caffeine intake are prone to cause anxiety depression and are must be avoided as much as possible. Taking nutritious foods rich in dietary supplements, vitamins, and minerals helps to keep your mind and body healthy so you are good and happy from within!. Having fruits and vegetables also helps you get the right amount of vitamins and essential minerals that your body may be lacking. Try eating one fruit a day as for the baby steps!
3. Beautify you- If you see yourself boring or unappealing, try changing your appearance, try a new style of outfit. Get a new haircut if you can. Changing your appearance gives a sense of the new personality to you and boosts up your mood.
So next time if you are exhausted from work, put on a face mask and cucumber on your eyes, put your legs in warm water, take rest. That 15 minutes are for you by you. You will feel relaxed, calm, happy and ready for the next task!
