Today, (29 September, every year) is recognized as World Heard Day. Did you know that world's deadliest killer is a disease? Cardio Vascular Disease, accounts for nearly half of the non-communicable diseases that claim to approximately 18 million lives each year including premature deaths. The probable reasons are due to the use of tobacco, unhealthy diet, and lifestyle. It is known that age above 45 (men) and 55 (women) are susceptible to this disease. This day is noted to spread awareness regarding heart diseases like the CVD so that you can protect yourself and your loved ones by changing your lifestyle and shifting towards a healthier one. We got to know about this by (ref: www.world-heart-federation.org ) an organization called “world heart federation”.
Here are a few healthier ways to prevent heart diseases
1) Acknowledge your risk: Adults ages between 40-75 have higher chances of developing heart diseases. They must analyze the sickness pattern and know about their risks of reoccurrence and have proper health checkups regularly
2) Healthy diet: have a healthy diet plan filled with nutritious fruits and veggies. Meats, oily, and processed food are likely to increase cholesterol leading to a higher risk of CVD.
3) Physical activities: Even though occasional junk food indulgence may be ignored, have a minimum workout for about 150 minutes is required to burn out excess fats also keep you active throughout the day. The heart needs to be pumping!
4) Say No to tobacco: Quit the habit of smokes and cigarette, because you are smoking hot! This might be a challenge, do it your best.
5) Manage you: Having high blood pressure and cholesterol has higher risk of the CVD. So, following important lifestyle changes is mandatory to put you away from it. Take proper care and have those pills now for a healthier tomorrow
